Volunteering is a powerful way to make a difference in your community, and when it comes to road safety the impact of volunteering is immeasurable.
At Amber Community, we are fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteers who provide hope and inspiration.
At the core of Amber Community’s mission lies the belief that individuals, through their actions and experiences, can create a safer and more supportive environment for those affected by road trauma. Our volunteers embody this belief as they contribute their time, energy, and personal stories to make a lasting impact.
A wide range of opportunities
Amber Community offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, each with its unique way of contributing to our mission:
- Sharing your lived experience: For those who have experienced road trauma personally or through their loved ones, sharing their stories inspires others to make safer choices on the road.
- Raising awareness and advocating: Volunteers can actively participate in raising awareness about road safety and advocating for safer road behaviours. Their voices become powerful tools for influencing positive change in attitudes and behaviours on the road.
A supportive community of volunteers
One of the remarkable aspects of volunteering with Amber Community is the sense of belonging and support that volunteers receive. Whether it’s through ongoing training, regular catchups, or a shared commitment to the cause, our volunteer community becomes a source of strength and inspiration.
Inspiring road safety conversations
Sharing personal stories promotes road safety and reduces the impacts of road trauma. Personal narratives have the incredible power to raise awareness and motivate individuals to drive safely.
Amber Community is fortunate to have more than 100 dedicated volunteers who generously support our organisation. Many of them share their own experiences with road trauma, and they are passionate about highlighting its impact and the ripple effect it can have on individuals and communities.
