A bequest can be arranged when you first prepare your Will or added later through an update known as a codicil. It is a simple way to support a cause that is important to you while ensuring your wishes are clearly documented.
Many people choose to leave a bequest after ensuring their family and loved ones are provided for. A gift can be any size and may be a percentage of your estate, a specific amount of money, or the remainder of your estate after other commitments have been met.

Considering a gift in your Will?
Many people choose to leave a gift to charity because they want to create a lasting legacy and continue supporting causes they care about beyond their lifetime.
A gift in your Will can take several forms:
Residual Gift
A percentage or remainder of your estate after loved ones have been provided for and expenses have been paid.
Percentage Gift
A nominated percentage of your estate.
Specific Gift
A nominated dollar amount, asset, property or item of value.
