Attendance
- Arrive 15 minutes (10 minutes for the Online Road Trauma Awareness Seminar (RTAS) program) before the start time. Arrival after the start time will result in you being unable to participate in the seminar. A 100% rebooking fee applies if you need to book into another seminar because of late arrival or failure to attend unless you can demonstrate documented evidence of your unforeseen absence (e.g. a medical certificate).
- Upon arrival at a venue-based seminar, you will need to produce your letter of confirmation as well as your driver’s licence or another official form of photo identification.
- Upon entry to a Zoom seminar, you will need to produce your driver’s licence or another official form of photo identification.
- If any assistance is required for reading and/or writing or language purposes, we require you to provide your own interpreter/aide and advise at the time of booking. Please note that you must be in the same room as your interpreter/aide if attending an online or venue seminar. - Actively engage in the session, contribute to group discussions, fill out the survey questions, and complete the activities during the session. If you do not actively engage in the course, you will not successfully complete the program and a certificate will not be issued.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment. Disruptive and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. If you exhibit disruptive or aggressive behaviour, you will be asked to leave and forfeit any fees paid, and no certificate will be issued.
- Complete the pre and post-evaluation survey for a certificate to be issued. The RTAS program evaluation survey is sent to you via email from InSync Surveys. The pre-evaluation survey must be completed before the commencement of the seminar. The post-evaluation survey must be completed at the end of the seminar, so please bring your phone and have your link easy to find.
- Attending under the influence of any drug/s, including alcohol will have you being asked to leave and rebook into another seminar, which will incur a 100% rebooking fee.
- If you are driving to and from the seminar this must be done in a legal manner, ie licenced and not under the influence of any substance.
- Respect the rights and privacy of other program participants and not disclose personal information (including names) of other group participants to people outside of the group.
- If you have been charged with dangerous or recklessly causing serious injury, culpable driving causing death or road rage, this seminar may not be suitable for you. Please call us on 1300 367 797, and we can discuss your suitability or assist you in finding an alternative program.
- Your certificate will be sent via email within 24 hours. An administration fee of $20 applies for the replacement of certificates.
- If you are participating in an online seminar, the Zoom link and InSync survey are emailed to your registered email address prior to the seminar. A reminder text will be sent to your registered contact number at 9 am on the day of the seminar (for Saturday seminars, texts are sent on Friday at 9am). If you do not receive your Zoom link, you must notify Amber Community by calling 1300 367 797 during business hours (Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm). Failure to do so will incur a 100% rebooking fee should you wish to book another seminar.
Cancellation and transfer policy
- If you cancel more than seven days prior to the seminar, a refund (less 20% administration fee) will be issued.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within seven days of the seminar unless you can demonstrate documented evidence of your unforeseen absence (e.g. a medical certificate).
- Your payment is a reservation for the seminar date that you have selected. If you request a transfer prior to your scheduled seminar, a $50 administration fee applies. Note: If you transfer, the cancellation policy applies from the original booking date.
- If there are less than the minimum number of participants attending, you will be transferred to another seminar without incurring any additional fees.
