Shine a Light on Road Safety: 12 Years of Impact
On Sunday 4 May 2025, our community gathered once again at Albert Park Lake for the 12th annual Shine a Light on Road Safety Walk & Wheel event. With the sun shining brightly (and a little breeze keeping us on our toes), over 500 people came together at Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake, to honour lives lost, support those affected by road trauma, and raise awareness about safer roads for all.
A moving day of purpose and connection
This year’s event was filled with energy, colour, and compassion. Participants wore bright colours to represent their loved ones and stand together to shine a light on road safety.
Ambassador Alex Prestney shared heartfelt words that reminded us of the deep and lasting impact of road trauma. Alex’s message inspired many to continue advocating for change and highlighted why this campaign matters more than ever.
